Teemu Selanne became the first Duck to have his number retired by the team as his No. 8 was sent to the rafters at Honda Center Sunday night.Selanne ended a brilliant 21-year career last season after 1,451 games, 684 goals, 773 a sists and 1,457 points. He spent the vast majority of his Dalton Prout Women Jersey career in Anaheim, 966 games worth of it, and achieved some of his greatest heights with the Ducks including winning his only Stanley Cup with the team in 2007.The Ducks honored him in a lengthy ceremony held an hour and a half before the puck was set to drop between the Ducks and the Winnipeg Jets.Selanne made his grand entrance while walking all the way from the parking garage, to cheers from team staff and fans that lined up along the hallways. He then made his way to the rink from the seats, pa sing by more fans before hitting the ice where the current Ducks were waiting to greet him.
